My Story
Riggs is a natural conversationalist and an excellent listener, traits that make his job even more enjoyable. Off the air, he is a dedicated mental health advocate and enjoys skydiving, working out, and exploring new places around town.
An accomplished skydiver, Riggs is a D Licensed USPA skydiver with over 741 jumps as of June 2024, including 30 as a tandem instructor. Although he once considered making skydiving his profession, he decided to keep it as a recreational activity, which remains a vital part of his mental health self-care routine.
In addition to his radio career, Riggs founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called "HeartHead" that helps cover therapy and mental health care costs. Since its inception in 2021, the nonprofit has provided over $10,000 in therapy services.
Riggs loves trying new things and recently explored 93 different activities, attractions, businesses, and non-profits in Houston. He also enjoys meeting new people and recently collected 93,000 fist bumps at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Hosting America's most listened-to country morning show is a cherished part of his daily routine.
Riggs thrives both in front of the camera and behind the microphone. Whether creating simple social media videos or emceeing a gala for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, he knows how to engage, entertain, and inform audiences of any size.
Passionate about mental health, pop culture, movies, and the great outdoors, Riggs favors hiking above all. Given the choice, he would choose mountains over beaches every time. He is an open book, and you can connect with him on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok at @riggsradio to follow his adventures.
